Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. Burrell hosts Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, and is also the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her famous spiky blonde hair and her edgy personality on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, reveals an easy and straightforward methods for cooks at home. Chef Burrell also worked at several of the city's most prestigious establishments, learned about the Italian food and culture, and participated in Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in the upstate New York area, Chef Burrell developed a passion for food and cooking at a young age. After earning an English and Communication diploma at Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the business of restaurant by enroling as a student at The Culinary Institute of America. The student says "I was a huge Culinary Institute of America student. I enjoyed every moment." I couldn't learn enough couldn't achieve enough and couldn't push myself enough. After graduation, Burrell spent one year studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in Umbria's La Taverna del Lupo as and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, a Michelin-starred restaurant. She gained a deeper knowledge of Italian culture and cuisine while in Italy and this has affected her cooking style. Burrell is a celebrity ambassador to the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation and has been on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board, which helps children with obstacles. In her capacity as an inspirational speaker, she travels across the nation to talk about her love of cuisine and to promote her professional career as a chef. Anne has stated throughout her culinary career she is incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to share with others what is essential to her.
